Past Master

The Past Master emblem varies by jurisdiction.

One version of the Past Master emblem omits the square, which is common in California, Oregon, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and parts of New York. Anything listed on this site as CA-style is this version and applies to these states.

The other version, with the square, compass, and sextant, is used as the Past Grand Master in California and other jurisdictions, but also as the lodge Past Master in the states not listed above.
